Distribution Centers
Autoquip provides many varying lifts to retail distribution centers. These lifts are integrated into the overall material handling system in order to bring the inventory to the worker or to or from a storage area at a different level.
Autoquip lifts are being used in systems such as:
- A distribution centers is using custom designed Autoquip scissor lifts to depalletize high stacked pallets to feed the inventory system. 6’ tall pallets travel from the dock to depalletizing structure via conveyor. The lift moves the pallet incrementally as the employee removes inventory. Other lifts act a used pallet stackers. Small footprint, with high travel, lifts were required.
- A distribution center is using VRC’s to raise pallets to a higher depalletizing location. Fork trucks load the VRC’s from the dock and the pallets are raised to a depalletizing mezzanine. Gate controls were integrated with fork lift operation.
- Dock lifts are used in countless distribution centers to allow multi height trucks to on and off load inventory to either fixed height docks.
- Truck levelers are used in distribution centers to move the bed of the truck to the proper on or off load position and angle in relation to the dock.
